On Friday, March 15th, we took 8th, 7th and 6th grade orchestras to perform quartets, duets, solos and small ensemble groups for the residents of Aspen Creek Assisted Living Center and Memory Center. Students presented pieces they had been working on this quarter. On Tuesday we took 30+ students from our After School Strings program, along with our MS Honor Choir and one of our 7th grade string quartets to perform. After School Strings presented fiddle music and folk songs and Kimberly Castillo performed a fiddle solo. The 7th grade quartet presented Handel's Hornpipe from "Water Music" and the Honor Choir presented their Disney Dazzle medley.
We really appreciate the kindness of the residents of Aspen Creek. They were a wonderful audience, and we are grateful for the time they gave us to share our music with them!
